Patricia and Mark McCloskey had their moment to speak during the Republicans National Convention, playing into the fear-mongering and warning the audience of the “radical Democrats” and “Marxist revolutionaries” who are out to destroy suburban neighborhoods.
The St. Louis homeowners spoke about how they were unfortunate in being charged with felonies after a “mob” of protesters marched near their home.
“What you saw happen to us could just as easily happen to any of you who are watching from quiet neighborhoods around our country,” Patricia McCloskey cautioned.
“It seems as if the Democrats no longer view the government’s job as protesting honest citizens from criminals, but rather protecting crmiinals from honest citizens,” Mark McCloskey added. “Not a single person in the out-of-control mob you saw at our house was charged with a crime. But you know who was? We were.”
In the speech, which lasted a little over 4 minutes, the McCloskeys singled out Cori Bush, the dynamic activist who won the Democratic nomination for Missouri’s 1st Congressional District, as a “Marxist revolutionary,” who led the “mob” to their house.

“These radicals are not content with marching in the streets,” Mark McCloskey continued, “they want to walk the halls of Congress, they want to take over, they want power.”
Patricia McCloskey took her turn to speak to talk about suburban neighborhoods, which she said Democrats want to “abolish altogether.”
“Make no mistake, no matter where you live, your family will not be safe in the radical Democrats’ America,” she added.
“You’ve seen us on your TV screens and Twitter feeds,” Mark said. “You know we’re not the kind of people who back down. Thankfully, neither is Donald Trump.”
Cori Bush, for her part, remains unbothered, noting on Twitter that “They can call me whatever they want – I’m used to it.”
The McCloskeys tried to villianize me @ the RNC tonight. They can call me whatever they want—I’m used to it. People have called us everything you can imagine since we started protesting in Ferguson. It didn’t stop us then & it won’t stop us now #RepublicanNationalConvention
