Solange Knowles always approaches >Nike x Jacquemus campaign, her energy is no different as the Grammy-winning singer becomes the face of a reimagined classic: the Moon Shoe.

Originally handmade by Nike cofounder Bill Bowerman for the 1972 U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials, the Moon Shoe marked the first time Nike introduced its now-famous waffle sole innovation. For this collaboration, French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus revisits the archival silhouette. The sneaker features a ruched nylon upper, elasticized back, and Nike Grind outsole—all giving the design a fluid, almost dancer-like quality.

In the campaign, the Seat at the Table singer embodies the shoe’s delicate tension with athletic history and contemporary elegance. Knowles doesn’t simply model the shoe; she inhabits it, lending the campaign the kind of cultural resonance that only she can. That alignment feels intentional.

From her campaigns with the likes of Calvin Klein, Gucci, and Wales Bonner, to hernostalgic-yet-futuristic approach to daily style, it’s clear that fashion is an authentic part of the When I Get Home singer’s life. It’s this layered relationship that makes Solange’s choices to collaborate with brands feel less like marketing—and more like a moment.
