Today, Netflix has unveiled the teaser, first-look images, key art, and premiere date for the third and final season of Survival of the Thickest. The Michelle Buteau-led comedy will return globally on July 2, 2026, closing out the series after two successful seasons centered on fashion, friendship, dating, and self-discovery in New York City.

Inspired by Buteau’s essay collection, the show follows stylist and designer Mavis Beaumont as she continues building both her career and personal life alongside her close-knit circle of friends. Across its run, Survival of the Thickest developed a loyal audience through its humor and honest approach to confidence, relationships, and navigating adulthood.

Buteau revealed the teaser during her Netflix Is A Joke stand-up performance on May 6, where Wanda Sykes, who appears as a guest star this season, made a surprise appearance onstage. Returning cast members include Tone Bell and Marouane Zotti, while Season 3 will also feature appearances from Garcelle Beauvais, Peppermint, Ashley Graham, Ice-T, Jenna Lyons, D.L. Hughley, and Kandi Burruss among others.

Amy Aniobi serves as showrunner and executive producer for the final season alongside Buteau, Danielle Sanchez-Witzel, A24, and Mosaic.
