The American Music Awards are here—meaning the summer season of music awards are upon us. This year, the ceremony, held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, felt rather nostalgic. For one, The Black Eyed Peas won The Best Throwback Song award. And this was all before Pussycat Dolls performed for the first time since 2006—even bringing out Busta Rhymes. Additionally, Queen Latifah was the host and she, of course, brought her vibrant energy, and timeless beauty and >alongside her adorable son, Rebel, and wife Eboni Nichols, with a feather coat by Christian Siriano. Meanwhile, her hair was slicked back into a high ponytail and her lips were the perfect berry shade to tie it all together.
Similarly, the night was also a family affair for Teyana Taylor who appeared, with her two daughters, Junie and Rue, in a regal purple sheer dress. Her pixie cut was curled at the nape of her neck, while purple eyeliner and perfectly coiffed baby hairs adorned her eyes and face respectively.
Then, Tinashe turned heads in a white lace, shoulder-bearing look. Complementing it was a choppy wet haired look and stacked choker chains. Also in white was Mariah the Scientist, who rocked a Michael Jackson-coded jacket and maxi skirt with a train. Going perfectly with it was her frosted makeup look, while her red hair added a pop of color.
And, on the note of color, Glorilla brought the sunshine with her yellow two piece skirt set. Belly chains adorned her aspirational abs, and, up top, was an elegant blonde updo, and perfectly lined lips.
