Donald Trump on Sunday afternoon thanked FIFA after it suspended a one-match ban for U.S. star Folarin Balogun, allowing him to play in Monday’s Last 16 matchup against Belgium.
“Thank you to FIFA for doing what was right, and reversing a great injustice!” Trump posted on Truth Social. POLITICO has contacted FIFA to ask whether the Trump administration lobbied to reverse Balogun’s suspension, after he received a red card against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
