Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, refused to answer questions about a case related to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool damage that President Donald Trump has publicly criticized her over.

At a Wednesday news conference about a Justice Department task force focused on transnational criminal organizations, the former Fox News host appeared annoyed when asked about the Reflecting Pool. Pirro’s office had accused David Hearn, a former U.S. Olympian, of vandalizing the structure in June but ultimately dropped the case after investigators determined damage to the pool was due to shoddy construction.

“No, I’m not going there,” Pirro said, cutting a reporter off mid-sentence. “Don’t even go there. That’s why I didn’t call [on] you.”

Asked again about the case minutes later, Pirro raised her voice.

“No! No and no. Who wants to know about this? How many times do I have to say no?” she said. “I am not talking about that.”

Pirro’s refusal to discuss the case may have something to do with Trump, who has been irate over the issue. In July, amid the president’s fixation on purported vandalism of the pool and the surrounding area, Pirro’s office charged Hearn, 67, with destruction of property and accused him of “violently” damaging the structure. Hearn denied the allegations, saying he had simply reached into the water to touch a piece of the detached pool liner.

The case was ultimately dismissed, though not without criticism from Trump. The president said he was “really disappointed” with Pirro, whom he had picked for the position, and that she “folded like an umbrella.” Asked whether he would keep her in the role, he told a reporter, “I haven’t made a determination.”
