Fashion Bomb Daily Is Celebrating 20 Years With Star-Studded Fashion Show This NYFW

It’s New York Fashion Week and Fashion Bomb Daily is back again to put on an unforgettable show. This time, the influential fashion and lifestyle platform, which was founded by Claire Sulmers, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary with the sixth annual Bomb Fashion Show.

Presented by Bask & Lather Co., the event takes place on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 6 p.m. EST to midnight at Lavan Chelsea in New York City. The champagne-themed celebration will bring together industry leaders for an evening centered on fashion, creativity, entrepreneurship and culture.

The Bomb Fashion Show will feature runway presentations from BruceGlen, FGM Bespoke, Jai Lyle and Mahogani Collections, continuing the commitment to highlighting emerging and established designers who shape multicultural fashion.

At 10 p.m., guests can expect the event to transition into the official launch celebration and after-party for Belo Records & Co. The NYFW soirée will feature a special performance by recording artist B1NCO and give guests time and space to dance and socialize until midnight.

In past years, the Bomb Fashion Show has attracted stars like Meagan Good, Amerie, NeNe Leakes, Vivica A. Fox, Eva Marcille, Misa Hylton, Ty Hunter, Jayda Cheaves, Ashley Darby, Draya Michele, Marlo Hampton, Lil Mama, Quincy Brown, Yandy Smith, Justin Combs, Cynthia Bailey, Sevyn Streeter, Rome Flynn, DreamDoll and Ledisi, among many others.

Runways and celebs aside, the evening is also about celebrating how far Fashion Bomb Daily has come since Sulmers launched the platform in 2006. After working in publishing and struggling to find her place within traditional fashion institutions, Sulmers decided to create her own platform for covering fashion and style and has been successful at doing so ever since.

“I couldn’t find a seat at the table, so I made my own,” Sulmers has said.

What began as a personal fashion blog has since evolved into a media brand spanning digital publishing, events, e-commerce, original content and brand partnerships. Over the past 20 years, Fashion Bomb Daily has earned its stripes as a space that showcases celebrity style and provides visibility for creatives who have been overlooked by mainstream fashion media.
