L.A. Opera kicks off new season by unveiling its latest work: a 70-foot, hand-painted curtain

L.A. Opera is set to unveil a monumental new curtain created by the Cuban-born artist Enrique Martínez Celaya. More than a year in the making, the utilitarian art work will serve as the visual centerpiece of the company’s entire 2026–27 season.
