The Met puts a modern artist front and center (and there’s some Jackson Pollock, too)

When Lee Krasner was asked in a 1978 interview what she was doing while her husband Jackson Pollock was becoming so famous, she said, "I was working all the time." Krasner is shown above, at work, in 1981.

In a blockbuster show, The Metropolitan Museum of Art places the work of two major 20th century artists side by side: the married couple Lee Krasner and Jackson Pollock.
