Plans for a data center threaten scenic wilderness and dark skies in West Virginia

White Grass Ski Touring Center in Canaan Valley , W.Va., is celebrated for its unusually curvy and hilly cross-country skiing terrain.

Residents are fighting back against plans for a project that would span thousands of acres near the Monongahela National Forest and popular outdoor recreation, ski areas and dark sky sites.
