Are Budget Cuts Behind Recent Outbreaks in Foodborne Illnesses?

The CDC and the FDA are saying the tainted lettuce and jalapeños linked to contaminated food illnesses have been traced to Mexico where 63% of all vegetables imported to the United States are grown. Now, some experts are saying recent budget cuts by the Trump administration could have played a role in the outbreak of those illnesses. NBC’s Anne Thompson reports for TODAY.
