  • ‘Insecurity’: Rev. Al Sharpton pins down Trump’s ‘obsession’ with Obama

MS NOW’s Rev. Al Sharpton tore into Donald Trump over his “obsession” with former President Barack Obama, after the current president shared a meme of side-by-side photos of himself and his (first) predecessor on social media on Saturday. The images showed Trump at age 20 in his New York Military Academy uniform and a photo of an 18-year-old Obama taken during his time at Occidental College.

The post came just days after the Democrat told “All the Smoke” podcast co-host and former NBA player Matt Barnes that he occupied a “suite” in Trump’s head.

In Sharpton’s analysis, Obama brings out “insecurity” in Trump. “My thoughts are that President Trump cannot get over the fact that he had to succeed a man that clearly had more ability, background, a sense of presidential behavior and could handle pressure in a calm way,” he told MS NOW’s Alex Witt.

“[Obama] was better educated, better background in terms of coming from nothing and achieving something,” Sharpton continued. “And he’s Black.”

“If it’s a glee club contest and one choir wins over another, he’ll mention Obama,” the “Politics Nation” host said of Trump on Sunday. “I mean, there’s some obsession there.”

However, Sharpton said, that preoccupation does not go both ways. “[Obama] just opened his library and I was there,” he told Witt. “He doesn’t even talk about Trump in private. I’ve been around President Obama for the last several years, on many occasions — even social occasions, sometimes. I’ve never heard him say anything about Trump, but Trump must find a way to attack Obama.”

You can watch Sharpton’s full comments in the clip at the top of the page.

  • Naomi Osaka Wore An All White Kimono To Wimbledon

Wimbledon’s all-white dress code did not stop Naomi Osaka from delivering a standout look today. Specifically, a Kimono, which she constructed alongside Tokyo-based designer, Hana Yagi. Not only did it turn heads for its originality, but it also highlighted her Japanese roots.

In an on-court interview, Osaka shared, “For me, my Japanese heritage means a lot. They said all white at Wimbledon and I thought it would be really cool to come out in a Kimono,” she said. “I just get inspired by a lot of different things, and for me, one of my favorite movies is Kill Bill,” she added. “I really love Lucy Liu’s character, O-Ren Ishii, and she comes out in this really iconic white kimono. I always tell people I like to be like a video game character sometimes. I don’t want to be myself when I’m playing on the court. And I kind of try to embody her a little.”

The look itself featured dramatic floor-length sleeves, a cinched waist with bow detailing, and a softly ruffled skirt layered underneath, styled with crisp white Nike sneakers for a modern athletic edge. She completed the outfit with delicate teardrop earrings, keeping the accessories minimal and refined.

But this isn’t her first standout fashion moment on the court. At the US Open, for example, she wore bejeweled headpieces paired with coordinated tech accessories and gem-encrusted Nike looks. Her  Roland Garros appearances included floor-length gowns featuring intricate beading and corsetry by designer Kevin Germanier. With that, many were left wondering how Osaka would translate her evolving on-court style into Wimbledon’s strict all-white dress code. This latest look delivers a clear answer: that she’s intentional, narrative-driven, and edged with a quiet sense of rebellion and refinement.
