Tonight, Super Bowl 60 officially kicked off after a weekend full of star-studded football events. But, before the big game, Coco Jones performed the Black National Anthem (“Lift Every Voice and Sing”) at the opening night ceremony. And, to compliment her powerful vocals, she sported a beauty look that’ll resonate all Black History Month.
“I would describe this look as a classic nude glam using brown tones and beautiful skin,” Jones’ makeup artist Diana Shin tells ESSENCE before the game. “My inspiration for this look is a mixture of ‘90s, timeless and modern in my interpretation.” An era dominated by the natural beauty of Halle Berry, Nia Long, and Meagan Good, tonight, Jones was ‘90s fine.

To achieve the look, Shin prioritized the singer’s deep complexion with a skin like finish. But, to be ‘90s fine, it’s all in the eyes. “I always love to define the eyes,” she says.
