This book was the best I’ve ever read!! I have never been a big reader unless I had to
    – even in college. I remember thinking that was lame and time consuming. And I’m typically
a slow reader. But when I read Disappearing Acts, I would sneek into the bathroom at work
to read and I read it in a day and a half. That book had encouraged me to begin reading
for entertainment and enjoying it. Authors such as J. California Cooper and Connie Brisco
has also joined my list of favorite authors now.

I know this is not the appropriate place to comment, but I didnt like Waiting To
Exhale at all. But thanks you Ms. McMillan for D.A. because it has encouraged the bigger
and better person in me to come alive.

No word yet on the premiere of Disappearing Acts on HBO. The film is currently in
post-production. When MOSAEC finds out, we’ll let our readers know. Thanks for your
      continued support.

This is an EXCELLENT book, and was the first Terry McMillan book that I read. The movie “Disappearing Acts” was good, but unfortunately could not capture the full essence of the literary work. The plot of the book is set up so that with each chapter, the reader is getting the main characters point of view (Zora and her lover). I love the
fact that the chapters from her lovers point of view, made the reader sympathize with the plight of the black male and trying to maintain gainful employment.

Disapearing Acts was a very incredible book. It talks about love, happiness, scrafices, and also heartache pain. I can really relate to that because it was one of my experience. It makes you think about all the things you want in your life and to make sure the decisions you make is what you want.

I thought that Disappearing Acts was very entertaining and I couldn’t put it down.
Terry really made the characters come to life. It was so interesting how she gave a man
and a woman’s perspective of the relationship. Some of the things that happened really hit
    home.

I,personally liked this book, although it was not exactly the same as the movie, but i guess it’s like that with all books. It was a little bit heated, and those of you who are of age know what i’m talking about!Anywho i wouldn’t recomend this book to anyone under 13,simply because of it’s contents…it might burn your eyes!

This book is my alltime favorite. Ihave read it many times. It gets better each time. When I heard about the movie, I could not wait to see the characters come to life. They never did. They were not the Franklin & Zora I have grown to know. What happened? If I could rate this movie a big fat ZERO, I would. Oh, I truly hate when the movie strays from the book. The movie did not do the book justice. I was waiting to see Franklin’s mother throw those mashed potato’s. Actually, I did not watch the entire movie, I had to turn if off. I had to re-read the novel to make myself feel better. My vote is for a remake with better choices for the actors & more concentration on the depth of the characters. (PLEASE)

I love this book! I passed this book on to many of my friends. I tell them that they better be prepare to read this book. Once you pick it up to read it, you can’t put the book down. The storyline is so interesting. I love how Terry is straight to the point. I even suggest for guys to read this book. Half way through reading this book, you just want to grab you man and make love to him. It’s very tensifying and makes you eroused. Good one Terry! I would recommend this book both to women and men.

Terry definitely inspire me to write a book of my own. Thank you Terry!
