DOJ defends White House media ban, urges court to reject lawsuit

Reporters from MS NOW, CNN, and Politico have been blocked from accessing the White House since September 19th after President Trump said he was banning the three outlets from the property. Those news organizations are now suing President Trump, alleging that it violates the First Amendment.

The Department of Justice defended President Trump’s recent media ban, arguing that reporting by CNN, MS Now and Politico on a wide range of issues jeopardized national security and spread falsehoods.
