Thank you, Marona. That’s all. I say that, because after reading other critics’ mostly negative reviews, I had been wondering if I had seen the same movie as them. It is good to read a review and know that I indeed had. I thought the film was wonderful. Let’s face it, the original material is a classic and unconventional to boot. I think some mainstream critics underestimate audience members. WE GET IT! LOL. As for the performances, I loved something about all of the women. I think they all had moments where they shined. However, there is just something about Phylicia Rashad’s voice when she delivers that just touched my soul. Well, thanks again for a real, true critique of the film. It is good to be on the same page.
