Harlem came alive for a Fireside Chat & Mixer featuring the incredible Charletta Wilson Jacks, International First Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and the always fabulous Sunny Hostin. From the very first moment, the afternoon overflowed with inspiration, connection, and powerful sisterhood energy.
Set against the stylish backdrop of the Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel, the room was filled with lively conversation, meaningful gems on leadership and purpose, and lots of love. The women of Alpha Kappa Alpha travelled from across the United States and abroad to celebrate Black Excellence. And let’s not forget our virtual sisters who joined from across the globe via Zoom—truly making this a worldwide celebration!
The event started on a beautiful note with a heartfelt prayer from Eboné Carrington that grounded the room in faith, gratitude, and intention.
When it was time to turn up, Strafe hit the stage and absolutely “Set It Off!” The energy? Immaculate. The nostalgia? Real. The dancing? Let’s just say nobody wanted it to end!
