Hollywood studios escalate dispute over ByteDance’s ‘pervasive copyright infringement’ with its AI tools

On Friday, the Motion Picture Association sent its own cease and desist letter to ByteDance, the company behind the controversial AI video generator, Seedance 2.0. It marks the first time that the association has taken legal action against a major AI firm.
