Over the last week, the best celebrity beauty looks were marked by lightweight makeup, natural hair colors, and classic manicures. But, some celebs still snuck in statement moments: Bold lips were occasional, red nails offset nudes, and one eyeshadow look was as theatrical as ever.
For one, Jill Scott turned her hair wine red—which matched her manicure—on set for her “Pressha” music video. Scott’s hair was a similar color to Chaka Khan, who paired hers with a red lip. It’s a color Regina King agreed with as well, wearing her red manicure with blue and brown twists. On the opposite end of the color spectrum, Eve’s hair was so platinum it was silver as co-host at the Mobo Awards.
It’s spring, so hair and makeup was pared back: Karrueche wore nothing but a natural lip with her flipped bob. Victoria Monet’s hair was tied into a bun to complement her glowing skin. And Chase Infiniti landed on a twist out and subtle blush. That makes Aweng Chuol an anomaly. Instead of going natural, she went full magenta wearing a skinny jeweled brow, juicy black-lined lips, and magnetic purple eyeshadow from Isamaya Beauty’s Core Eyeshadow Palette.
