Mitch McConnell returns to Senate after fall that led to an extended medical absence

Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., speaks to the press as he arrives for a vote at the U.S. Capitol on Monday for his first public appearance in over 90 days after he recovered from a fall and illness.

McConnell spent weeks in recovery before explaining he was “briefly unconscious” following the fall that sent him to the hospital and a weeks-long recovery process.
