Rihanna Shares Rare Photos of Her 3 Kids During Barbados Vacation

That Rihanna reign just won’t let up!

Sis is winning. (And she stays winning.) Yes, she’s a billionaire. Yes, she has broken records and become a trailblazer in music, fashion, beauty and business. Yes, she has a partner in A$AP Rocky who isn’t afraid to love her out loud while they seemingly define their relationship on their own terms. Yes, she has three adorable children, and motherhood looks amazing on her.

But it is Rihanna’s bold confidence and palpable down-to-earth realness that somehow manage to make everything else about her shine even more.

Baby, Robyn Rihanna Fenty is going to be unapologetically authentic wherever she goes.

She just shared one such moment of raw authenticity with the world in a beautiful social media post. The Fenty Beauty founder posted two pictures and a video on Instagram of her with her three children in front of her childhood home in Barbados. In this rare content, we witness a beaming Rihanna holding her 10-month-old daughter Rocki, with her sons RZA, 4 and Riot, 2, by her side.

The now viral post included a warmly penned caption:

“One minute I feel like that kid from Westbury…the next minute I’m bringing my own kids back to ‘Rihanna Drive.’ Trippy how life works! And the Glory STILL and WILL ALWAYS belong to the Almighty Creator!!!”

The post now has more than 4 million likes.

The world is moved by Rihanna making the time in her busy schedule to proudly show her children where she is from in an unforgettable full circle moment. Located in the St. Michael parish, Westbury is reportedly a working-class, tightly-knot Bajan community known for modest, single-story homes. Renamed Rihanna Drive in 2017 (formerly Westbury New Road), this street features the colorful bungalow where Rihanna grew up and a commemorative plaque in her honor.

The pride Rihanna possesses in these pictures is palpable. Regardless of how many nannies her children have, fancy zip codes they reside in or what prestigious schools they eventually attend, their mama will not forget to remind them of where their roots lie and most important to be proud of those roots. We love this for their entire family. And we love that she shared such a special moment with us all.

So, when will this tiny trio of Rihanna’s begin playing mas with their mom during Crop Over? Only time can tell. While we wait, we’ll happily soak up the joy of witnessing a different yet important type of generational wealth being passed down from an intentional mother to her young, impressionable children. Priceless.

This is not new behavior for the Bajan beauty. Rihanna revealed some of her philosophy on motherhood and legacy to ESSENCE back in 2019.

“I’m a Black woman. I came from a Black woman, who came from a Black woman, who came from a Black woman and I’m going to give birth to a Black woman. That’s who I am. It’s the core of who I am in spirit and DNA,” she said. “My mother is an incredible example of how to fight through obstacles in life. I’m sure her mom taught her that and that’s how I’m going to be. We are impeccable, we’re special and the world is going to have to deal with that.”
