A reunion three decades in the making is officially on the books.

On February 17, CBS announced that Shemar Moore will return to The Young and the Restless as Malcolm Winters for a multi-episode storyline airing in April. Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox on ‘The Young and the Restless.’ Photo Credit: CBS

Fox played Dr. Stephanie Simmons from 1994 to 1995, during which time her character was romantically involved with Malcolm. Their relationship ended when Stephanie left town due to her demanding career, and she has not been seen on the show since.

Both actors went on to major success beyond daytime television, with Moore leading series such as Criminal Minds and S.W.A.T., and Fox building a prolific film career that includes appearances in projects such as Independence Day, Soul Food, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, and Kill Bill, among others. Now, their return to The Young and the Restless brings a familiar storyline back into focus, and promises to shake up Genoa City once again.

Now in its 53rd season, The Young and the Restless airs weekdays at 12:30 PM ET on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
