Today, Netflix has released the official trailer for the third season of Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black, offering another look at the turmoil awaiting Kimmie and the Bellarie family when the series returns later this month.

Taylor Polidore Williams reprises her role as Kimmie, whose rise within the Bellarie empire quickly becomes complicated by a violent conflict threatening everyone connected to the family. Crystle Stewart also returns as Mallory, with the new footage teasing an uneasy partnership as both women confront growing danger from inside the family’s own ranks.

Created, written, directed and executive produced by Tyler Perry, the drama continues to build on the power struggles and betrayals that have driven the series since its debut. Season 3 also brings back Amber Reign Smith, Xavier Smalls, Ricco Ross, Richard Lawson, Debbi Morgan and Charles Malik Whitfield, among others.

The teaser hints at escalating tensions as old rivalries resurface and loyalties are tested, leaving the future of the Bellarie empire hanging in the balance. Beauty in Black returns to Netflix on August 27.
