Kash Patel and country singer Alexis Wilkins announce engagement

FBI Director Kash Patel and country singer Alexis Wilkins are engaged, Wilkins announced on social media on Sunday.

“Went and got the law involved,” Wilkins, a country singer, wrote in posts on X and Instagram.

The pair have been dating since 2023, Wilkins told the conservative podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show” in July 2025. She said she met Patel in Nashville, where she lives part time, while attending an event at her friend’s house. They hit it off because they are “both are very patriotic,” said Wilkins, 27. She also praised Patel’s “honesty,” “character” and “values.” Wilkins was present when Patel, now 46, was sworn in as FBI director in February 2025.

Asked for comment, an FBI spokesperson referred MS NOW to Wilkins’ social media posts.

Their relationship has come under scrutiny. Wilkins, who has roughly 3,900 monthly listeners on Spotify, performed at a Freedom 250 event on the National Mall in Washington to celebrate the United States’ 250th Independence Day.

Wilkins defended herself against nepotism accusations at the time, saying, “I have been a country music artist for years now. I have had a successful career in both music and commentary/strategy.”

Patel faced backlash in October 2025 for using an FBI jet to attend a pro-wrestling event in State College, Pennsylvania, where Wilkins was singing the national anthem. House Judiciary Democrats launched an investigation into his use of the bureau’s jet months later.

“The disgustingly baseless attacks against Alexis — a true patriot and the woman I’m proud to call my partner in life — are beyond pathetic,” Patel wrote in a post on X in November 2025. “She is a rock-solid conservative and a country music sensation who has done more for this nation than most will in ten lifetimes. I’m so blessed she’s in my life.”

In December 2025, MS NOW reported that Patel ordered Wilkins’ security detail to escort her allegedly inebriated friend home on more than one occasion, raising questions about the FBI director’s use of government resources. Wilkins has since filed a defamation lawsuit against MS NOW over that reporting, which the network stands behind.
